Strategic CSR - Banksy

Welcome back to the Strategic CSR Newsletter!
The first newsletter of the Fall semester is below.
As always, your comments and ideas are welcome.

I'll begin this semester's newsletters by sharing a video released recently by Banksy about his exploits during his 2021 summer vacation or "spraycation," as he termed it:

The connection to strategic CSR might not be immediately obvious, but I find Banksy's social commentary to be cutting and unfailingly on-point (JR is another contemporary artist I like with a similar political/social angle to his work). The underlying antagonism toward those in authority and privilege in society is reinforced, of course, by the anti-authoritarian foundations of his medium, graffiti.

One of my home country's better contributions to contemporary social discourse, I think. Ironically, of course, it is his critique of contemporary society that makes him so effective.

Hope you all have a great semester.
Take care
David
